Reasons to Conserve the Rainforest
Aesthetic Reasons:
There are numerous plants and animals that are
products of discoveries from the rainforest such as the monarch butterfly. There are also numerous that have yet to be discovered. It is estimated that over half the worlds species live in rainforests (and thats only the species we know of). With the crazy world we live in, you would think we would make special efforts to preserve the few things of beauty that we have but that is far from the everyday occurance.

Ethical Reasons:
The rainfoest, is home to numerous plants and animals of all kinds. As humans we need to remember the earth is a gift given to us, and we need to learn to preserve it so that the next generation and generations to come have to opportunity to see it in all its glory. At the rate we are going, with all the animals and plants becoming extinct (or on the endangeredd species list) the children of the furture will only know what trees are in textbooks and it will become a real treat to see the in real life.
Biodiversity:
Even though there are many more plants and animals and other species yet to be found in the rainforest (the number is astounding) there are plenty that are known, and their enviroments (the rainforests around the world) need to be protected including but not limited to:
